Apple Fritter Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted soft butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: Combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream butter & sugar: Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla.
  4. Stir dry mix into wet mix until combined.
  5. Prepare apples: Toss diced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Layer batter: Pour half the batter into the pan, add half the apples, then repeat. Swirl lightly with a knife.
  7. Bake 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Glaze: Mix powdered sugar and milk. Drizzle over cooled bread.
