Asparagus & Lemon Garlic Chicken
Ingredients
- 4 medium chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup onion, minced
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 lb asparagus, trimmed and cut into thirds
Instructions
- Season chicken with Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Add oil to a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken 5–6 minutes per side, then remove and set aside.
- Add butter, onion, and asparagus to the skillet. Cook for 2–3 minutes until asparagus is tender.
- Add garlic and cook for just under 1 minute.
- Add heavy cream, lemon juice, and Parmesan; stir to combine.
- Return chicken to the pan and simmer 3–4 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Taste and adjust seasoning. If sauce becomes too thick, add 1/4 cup water, chicken stock, or broth.
