Chai Pear Crumble Tart

Ingredients

Crust:

  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup cold butter, cubed
  • ¼ cup ice water

Filling:

  • 4 pears, peeled, cored, sliced
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp chai spice blend
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground cardamom

Crumble Topping:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup chopped almonds
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  2. Add ice water gradually until dough comes together. Shape into a disk, wrap, and chill 30 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, toss sliced pears with brown sugar, flour, chai spice, ginger, and cardamom.
  4. In another bowl, mix oats, almonds, brown sugar, and melted butter for the crumble.
  5. Roll out dough into a 12‑inch circle. Place in a 9‑inch tart pan and press into edges. Trim excess.
  6. Add pear filling to the crust. Sprinkle crumble topping over the pears.
  7. Bake at 375°F for 40–50 minutes, or until crust is golden and filling is bubbling.
