French Apple Invisible Cake
Ingredients
- 4–5 medium apples
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup flour
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a loaf pan or cake pan.
- Peel, core, and slice apples very thin (almost paper-thin).
Make batter:
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, milk, melted butter, vanilla, and salt.
- Add flour and mix until smooth.
Combine:
- Gently fold apple slices into the batter until well coated.
Bake:
- Pour mixture into the greased pan. Press apples down to flatten.
- Bake 45–50 minutes until golden and set.
- Cool completely before slicing.
Optional: dust with powdered sugar.
