Glazed Strawberry Bread
Ingredients
Bread:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
Glaze:
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp strawberry purée
- ½ tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a loaf pan.
- In one bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Combine wet and dry ingredients.
- Fold in diced strawberries gently.
- Pour batter into loaf pan and bake 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, strawberry purée, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Drizzle glaze over cooled bread.
