Salsa Mexicana
Ingredients
- ¾ cup diced tomatoes
- ⅓ cup diced onion
- 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp jalapeño
- 2 tsp fresh lemon or lime juice
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Wash and dice tomatoes, onion, jalapeño, and cilantro.
- Remove seeds for less heat or a thicker salsa.
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl (or food processor for smoother salsa).
- Add lemon/lime juice, cumin, pepper, and salt.
- Stir for chunky salsa or pulse lightly for smoother texture.
- Let rest 15–20 minutes to blend flavors.
- Serve with chips or as a topping for tacos, burritos, or grilled meats.
