Salsa Mexicana

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup diced tomatoes
  • ⅓ cup diced onion
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
  • 1 tsp jalapeño
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon or lime juice
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and dice tomatoes, onion, jalapeño, and cilantro.
  2. Remove seeds for less heat or a thicker salsa.
  3. Combine all ingredients in a bowl (or food processor for smoother salsa).
  4. Add lemon/lime juice, cumin, pepper, and salt.
  5. Stir for chunky salsa or pulse lightly for smoother texture.
  6. Let rest 15–20 minutes to blend flavors.
  7. Serve with chips or as a topping for tacos, burritos, or grilled meats.
