Cajun Chicken with Avocado Lime Crema

Ingredients

Chicken:

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Crema:

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Mix seasonings with olive oil and lemon juice into a paste.
  2. Coat both chicken breasts evenly.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium‑high with a little oil.
  4. Cook chicken 5–6 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
  5. Let chicken rest 3–5 minutes before slicing.

Make the Avocado Lime Crema

  1. Add avocados, sour cream (or yogurt), lime juice, cilantro, garlic, salt, and cayenne (optional) to a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Add 1–3 tbsp water until your preferred consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  5. Chill for 30 minutes if you’d like the flavors to develop.
