Cajun Chicken with Avocado Lime Crema
Ingredients
Chicken:
- 2 chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Crema:
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
Instructions
- Mix seasonings with olive oil and lemon juice into a paste.
- Coat both chicken breasts evenly.
- Heat a skillet over medium‑high with a little oil.
- Cook chicken 5–6 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
- Let chicken rest 3–5 minutes before slicing.
Make the Avocado Lime Crema
- Add avocados, sour cream (or yogurt), lime juice, cilantro, garlic, salt, and cayenne (optional) to a blender or food processor.
- Blend until smooth.
- Add 1–3 tbsp water until your preferred consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning.
- Chill for 30 minutes if you’d like the flavors to develop.
