Papaya Cream Cake

 

Ingredients

Papaya Filling

  • 3 cups papaya, peeled, deseeded, diced
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp fresh lime juice

Cream Layer

  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Topping

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Cook papaya, sugar, and cornstarch in a saucepan over medium heat until thick and glossy (5–7 minutes). Add lime juice and cool slightly.
  2. Beat cream cheese until smooth, then add condensed milk, vanilla, and egg. Mix until silky.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13 pan.
  4. Spread papaya filling across the bottom. Pour cream mixture over it.
  5. Sprinkle dry cake mix on top and drizzle with melted butter.
  6. Bake 40–50 minutes until golden and set. Cool 15 minutes before slicing.
