Banana Bread
Ingredients
- 5 bananas
- 1 slightly beaten egg
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1.5 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 ½ – 2 cups flour (use judgment)
- Optional: chocolate chips or peanut butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mash the bananas in a large bowl until smooth. Let sit for 10–15 minutes.
- Stir in melted butter, sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla.
- Add baking soda and salt, and mix again.
- Add flour and gently stir just until combined—don’t overmix.
- Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool slightly before slicing.
