Diakon Fries

Ingredients

  • 1 lb daikon
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Seasoning of choice
  • 2 tsp fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the daikon, then cut into fry-shaped sticks.
  2. Place in a bowl, sprinkle with salt, mix, and let sit for 30 minutes to release moisture.
  3. Drain and pat dry thoroughly using paper towel.
  4. Toss daikon with oil, garlic powder, and seasoning of choice.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  6. Arrange fries in a single layer without overlapping.
  7. Cook for 5 minutes, flip, then air fry another 3–5 minutes until golden.
  8. Lightly salt if needed and garnish with fresh parsley.
