Diakon Fries
Ingredients
- 1 lb daikon
- 1 tbsp oil
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Seasoning of choice
- 2 tsp fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Wash and peel the daikon, then cut into fry-shaped sticks.
- Place in a bowl, sprinkle with salt, mix, and let sit for 30 minutes to release moisture.
- Drain and pat dry thoroughly using paper towel.
- Toss daikon with oil, garlic powder, and seasoning of choice.
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
- Arrange fries in a single layer without overlapping.
- Cook for 5 minutes, flip, then air fry another 3–5 minutes until golden.
- Lightly salt if needed and garnish with fresh parsley.
